Under the commendable philanthropy of the Mahila Maha Vidyalya Samiti a good deed as done in April 1989 with the inception of Indira Gandhi Public School at Kaithal. The Mahila Maha Vidyalya Samiti owes its very existence from july 1967 to the founder patron the late smt. Om Prabha Jain, Finance Minister,Haryana. The Samiti pledge to cater to the needs of quality education to the children of the city and the nearby area. The dynamic leadership of the worthy members of the Samiiti enables the school to march on, shining like a beacon light. The excellent guidance and support of the M.M.V. Samiti shall be perennial source to raise high the banners of this our Indira Gandhi Public School.
This prestigious institute was established in April 1989 under the dynamic and able guidance of Mahila Mahavidalaya Samiti kaithal. It is situated in the heart of the city in more than 4 acers land facing Kurukshetra Road. The building is well equipped with sufficient infrastructure and further additions and improvements are constantly carried out. The foundation stone was laid by hon’bie lachhman Dass Arora , Industries minister , Haryana. Late Smt Om Prabha Jain Ex Finance Minister , Haryana was the founder president and chief patron of our society Mahila Mahavidalaya Samiti kaithal. Under the dynamic leadership of our worthy members the project of Indira Gandhi Public School Kaithal was adopted in the year 1989to cater to the need of quality education of the city.

Indira Gandhi Public School is a premier educational institute situated in Kaithal, Haryana (India). The school is co-educational, affiliated to CBSE and imparts education upto senior secondary certificate level in english medium. Sh. Jagdish Bahadur Khurania is the president of the school. To focus on quality education and the need of the time, the school runs science, commerce and humanities streams. Established in 1989 with100 students, 7 teachers and 10 rooms the school has steadily progressed and now hosts more than 1800 students and 100 strong faculty members. The school is equipped with full fledged chemistry, physics, biology and computer labs, a library with more than 1800 books and 81 class rooms. It has facilities for indoor games like chess and carrom board and outdoor games like basket ball. Ever since its inception, Indira Gandhi public School, Kaithal has been a fore-runner as an institute that offers a strong academic base combined with opportunities for all round development of the personality of the students.
